Estriol Cream
« on: October 02, 2024, 01:41:05 PM »

Hi Ive just been prescribed Estriol 1mg cream for external use (using Vagifem internally).  Looking through the threads it looks like this might be a strong cream as I've seen a lot of posts referring to Estriol 0.01mg.  Is there different strengths of this cream ?
Thanks

Have a lookC on GOOGLE - the Company or Boots for example should display all the product.  Let us know ;-)

Or put Estriol into the search box on the Forum.

Estriol is not a strong cream, the Vagifem pessary contains Estradiol which is stronger than Estriol but not available as a cream.

There are two strengths of this cream Estriol 0.1% and Estriol 0.01%.

You have been given Estriol 1mg/g which is the 0.1% one.

Boots the chemist only sell an over the counter estriol cream that is 0.1% estriol.

I use the Estriol 0.1mg externally and I think it's marvellous stuff!

Hi
Thank you Minusminnie that's exactly what I wanted to know  :foryou:  I agree with you Gnatty that it is indeed marvellous stuff I began to notice improvement within a week ! my problem is I'm very sensitive to oestrogen and the last few days (Im on day 13 of the loading dose) that I'm starting to feel jittery with palpatations like I used to get when I drank caffeine and as this is the only change i've made recently I'm thinking its the cream so was wondering if I need this dose or maybe I could have the 0.01% or whether I stick with it with the thought that when I reduce to twice weekly things will improve  ::)

I use vagifem and the 0.01 cream which I find an effective combination at the moment
