Progesterone timing
«

Hi everyone!
I’ve just been prescribed oestrogen gel and Utrogestan (progesterone) tablets.
On the instructions of Utrogestan it’s advised to take on days 15-26 of my cycle but I’m currently on day 23. Is it ok to start taking it now, on my first day of cycle or wait till day 15 comes around next month?
Thanks,
Melissa

I think the idea is to start it in sync with your cycle so might be best to wait until you bleed (day 1) then count 14 days after this to start your utrogestan.

I would take it now - because your own progesterone would/should be high right now anyway as it's the end of your cycle. No problems with adding a bit extra.
Take it the last few days of this cycle and when you stop it, it will just help the bleed to happen.
