Ultrasound today
«
on:

Hi all,
I posted a while back about urine showing on the dipstick and how I've been referred for a renal scan.
I had it today, they haven't given me any info other than it going back to the gp for results in a week. Really wanted to know if all ok today.
He did say I have multiple fibroids.

That is frustrating!
I hope the week passes quickly for you, I know how worrying it can be waiting for results.
However it is likely that if there was anything sinister on it they wouldn't just be sending it to your GP in a week - they would have maybe arranged for more detailed imaging like a CT.

Technicians aren't usually able to tell patients anything about ultrasounds etc., gone are the days when a patient would be seen by a Consultant B4 leaving the premises.

I had a message today to say to book a routine appointment with my GP to discuss results.
Routine suggests nothing serious...

Just managed to book one for sep 12th. I dont mind that if its nothing serious. If they'd have found anything bad they wouldn't make me wait would they.
Also, I only found out because I went on my NHS app and it said a letter has been sent. So doesn't sound like anything urgent.
