Hi All,
I really do need you help/reassurance.
So i have been on the 80mg patch for ages now, no night sweats etc. But because my anxiety was so bad when i had my oestrogen dip in May.

I then commenced Sertraline which was a nightmare, so went on Duloxetine 30 then 60, then 90 - The Psychiatrist put my up to 90 way too quickly and all i did for the 8 days wasa cry so hard.

Called GP who agreed this was an awful practice, and put me to 60mg.
First week on 60 i cried for 7 days while i was coming down off 90.
Second week - 2 good days together.
Third - i think 2 good days
Fourth - 8 days all brilliant.
Fifth week - 3 good days.
Sixth week  - 6 good days
Seventh week - 1 good day, the rest crying, low mood etc.
I am now 2 days into week 8 and have cried both mornings, and have just walked into work with tears in my eyes, had to go the changing room first. And, yesterday I woke up with the most awful and i mean AWFUL anxiety in bed - so bad that i took lorazepam out my drawer before even getting out of bed - but later on the tears still came. They stopped later that morning after more lorazepam taken.

Now, because i work in Broadmoor (Psychiatry) i have been so lucky to get so much help/advice. Everyone saying the crying is from the Duloxetine heightening the anxiety and is still not settled - and that three months is what people need to wait to get to.
Now i know this to be true because i use Lorazepam daliy and most times it does stop the crying, other times i have to take a bit more to stop it (GP aware)
But there are days that even Lorazepam does not do anything - i have cried from say 6.15am until dinner time (on/off)

I have heard women that have had crying on antidepressants for weeks til settling.

This seems to happen to me once i have left my flat at 6am to go for a walk/jog - i do this to see if the tears actually do come before i take my Duloxetine and then 2mg Lorazepam around 10 mins later.

The good days -no tears at all all day/no anxiety feeling - mood is great, not feeling the need to take the lorazepam.

Then the next day it could be boom - out on my walk - they just turn on like a tap which i cannot control, so i then have to turn around and go back home and have a cry, then take my tablets.

Just to note this type of crying has never happened on my patch. I have cried, but not as much as this. my hands are shaky too.

I spoke to plenty of mental health workers here, and yesterday spoke to the Psychiatrist of my ward, he said to be honest you could discount the first two weeks you were started on Duloxetine 60 as they upped you too quickly and therefore had to come back down.

That does make sense and alot of workers here agreed.

But my question is - Do you think Duloxetine is interacting with my HRT patch at all? Hence the crying? But then i thought nah - look at all the good days ive had and when i say good days i mean - buzzy personality, music playing, laughing, going 4 meals etc. I have googled it and it doesn't say that there is  problem between the two.

So, does this sound like Duloxetine still being up and down with me and that i do have to wait the three months?

Very anxious for your replies, thank you all xxx
