Yes. I did get slynd.

Unfortunately the mini pill just seems to send me into further torture now. I was extremely dizzy with severe motion sick ess on Slynd. Just couldn't do it. ☹️

So sorry to hear that, and that you are going through all of this.  Making change after change with all the accompanying symptoms and adjustments is awful.

I've been in peri since I was 46 and I am 51 now been doing this without any help. My mom or women in my family never talked about what goes on or what they went through. It is heck on the body and I feel for everyone going through this time. Sending you hugs.

Hi Crispy,

Unfortunately the symptoms, which are appeared due to reproductive years are going to the end, not really are going to respond to any other treatments apart from hormonal therapy. I did manage to control hot flashes and night sweats with sage in my 40s, which were caused by low progesterone, but the same sage product didn’t help me in post meno, when the same symptoms were caused by low estrogen, it also stopped working for me at the end of peri, when I started bleeding heavily.

Nausea and motion sickness came with post meno stage, so I would suggest the symptoms were caused by mix of low progesterone and low estrogen the same time, they ended up on the bottom in a strange for my body proportion, yes and I should mention it, I still had a good level of testosterone left in my body. I suggest because I have highly sensitive to sex hormones body it made things more noticeable for me.

After trying body identical HRT for a year I had to give it up, because it obviously made all my things worse. I am currently on Tibolone, have started taking it 1.5 months ago and this is the only type of treatment, which really works for me. If you want to shut down your hormonal reproductive system at all, do try Tibolone, it is really worth it.

Thanks Angela.

Are you the lady I spoke to previously who could only tolerate a tiny dose of estrogen as Blissel gel???

So, conventional hrt did not work fur you - too strong?

But tibolone is doing you good? And the Blissel gel alone was no longer enough???

Hi Crispy,

I am that lady.  :)

So, conventional HRT did not work me, it is still hard to say why, according to medical professionals (GPs, NHS meno specialists) it happened due to my high sensitivity to sex hormones. I would describe it like my body overreacted to adding the hormones to my body, even a very small dose like 1 pump of Estrogel or 1 pump of spray left me feel very ill and unable to function. I went on over the counter products eventually, the much weaker doses started working for me, but I couldn’t really get stable results on it, so as the last resort I decided to try synthetic option and it does work for me quite well.

So, the problem for me was to put in right balance both estrogen and progesterone, my body can’t function on estrogen only, I had to go on symptoms to correct doses, I found DIY HRT was not really that helpful for me. Tibolone is already balanced itself, and it works in the correct way with the body.
