Just had my tea.
I felt awful. Could it really be just that? I shook, light headed, hot, cold.

Yep.  Kind of a blood sugar 'drop' in that the body suddenly requires an energy boost with nowt to draw upon.  Hormones can certainly cause this ..... which is why, in the 1990s, The National Association for Pre-menstrual Syndrome advised me to eat every 3 hours, 24/7.  Even in the night!  It's a habit that I try to stick with these days so have snacks to hand when travelling.  Or walking we have fruits/nuts and Dextrose tablets.  Some like Kendal Mint Cake  :-X  ;D which went to the top of Everest and back in 1952.

When working my worst time was around 3.30-4.00 p.m. so I had a banana or nuts B4 driving home.

I've had panic attacks since the age of 3.  [long story short].  High levels of anxiety prior to events; visiting family; holidays.

Saw the gp again today.
No leukocytes in my urine but still blood (although I've always had a trace)
Got 5 days of a different antibiotic as I'm feeling so poorly. More blood tests this week.

Update,
Another urine test has shown ++blood but clear for everything else now. She's sending me for an ultrasound for my kidney, whats the likelihood of this being cancer? I'm terrified. Keep reading it has to be visible blood but the doctor didn't seem to think that.

As I said, I had the same but I had a cystoscopy and she had a look and also took cells to check. I think I may have had an ultrasound at some point before that because I had been in hospital a few months before. I think these are just tests that they do to eliminate things and be sure everything is ok. You wont be able to stop worrying, I think we all worry about the same things when we need tests, but hopefully everything will be fine

Blood mayB from vaginal atrophy.

Keep hydrated.  Graze.  These are routine tests on an 'in case' basis.  How long B4 the appt,?

She said it won't be long.
Thing is, no uti showing but I still feel rubbish. Everything blurring into one I think, not sure whats been a virus, whats the uti and whats perimenopause.
Just want to feel well again.

I may have said B4, sorry but my head is fuzzy due to very busy dreams  :-\.  Vaginal atrophy mimics repeated urine infection-type symptoms really really well and if anti-biotic therapy doesn't solve the problem then the GP should be prescribing appropriate 'vagifem' and/or 'ovestin' for direct use on the outer and inner vagina.

When symptoms niggle for me it feels like an infection starting ....... so I up the 'ovestin' .

When I had my tests it was because I'd had a very bad infection about 9 months earlier, ended up in hospital on holiday so I was hyper anxious about any symptoms after that. I'd already had an US scan after i returned, and been getting pelvic pain, i didn't feel ill, and she did a urine test then contacted me when I was at work about blood, no infection and a referral and ruling out cancer.  I really was panic stricken. Everything was normal. The cystoscopy was a walk in the park. Anxiety can make you feel quite ill.  There's nothing you can do. You've done the right things, seen your GP and now being checked properly to rule out possible causes and there may be no cause for it. I think she told me when I got back that I might have some blood for a while because I'd had such a bad infection. I carry emergency ABs now. The GP I originally saw, did not diagnose it, the dip stick didn't show infection and after a pathetic poke of a finger at my aching back declared me fit to travel. At least your GP is being thorough so try to take some comfort from that

Thanks for your replies.
Dare I say it, I do feel a little better the last two days.
I'm so muddled woth what's anxiety, uti, peri I cant think straight.
I think one of my main peri symptoms at the moment, other than anxiety, is the hot flushes.
They seem to be making me feel quite unwell. They come on and the anxiety rises, I just need to be somewhere with fresh air like an open window. Then I feel really tired and sometimes have a nap. They're horrible.

They are horrid.  Yours sound 'within normal limits' in that the heat rises followed by anxiety then feeling very tired.

I think that you can put the urine infection out of that window.  Peri can cause fuzzy, muddled thinking especially when flushing is part of the symptoms.  Anxiety can also be problematic ....... try not to overthink.  It's The Change - does what it says on the tin, and some!

Some find that carrying a small fan helps with any over heating.  It mayB that your energy levels after the flushing may be improved by eating little and often as well as adding fresh fruits and veg to your diet.
