Hysterectomy 10 years ago and basically it has destroyed my life. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and CFS can’t work and spend most days in bed.
I know that my estrogen levels are lower than they should be but if I try to increase it I get horrible side effects.
It’s common sense to me that if I had estrogen, progesterone and testosterone before the op I need all 3 now.
I have asked numerous GPs and my gynae at the time and was told the usual “you don’t need it after hysterectomy”
Is there anywhere I can get progesterone in the UK? I’m desperate to try it, I have nothing to lose

Call the Marion Gluck Clinic or the London Hormone Clinic, they may be able to help you. Assuming you want to do it under supervision.
Alternatively you could also join the Estrogen Dominance Group on Facebook, as they promote progesterone use at any point that estrogen is high or is used as part of hrt (even after hysterectomy) and you'll be able to see where other women in your situation buy it from. While an American group there are many people from the UK on there and they all seem to source progesterone over the counter with a number of brands mentioned.

You could also look up Ona's progesterone or Wellsprings progesterone. They are both available in the UK.

A few people seem to need it to feel good, for most of us it's what we have to put up with to have oestrogen. No harm in trying it though but if you're seeing a specialist I think it would be worth trying to sort out adequate oestrogen and testosterone too. IMO it's more likely to be that than progesterone, though perhaps I'm biased as my body thinks progesterone is the stuff of the devil  .

   Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress.  Useful too on a phone call ;-)

Who is in your family that could advocate for you?  As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry inside and out: nostrils, deep in the ears, skin, vagina as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  What has been suggested to ease the symptoms of fibromyalgia which may be the effect of oestrogen less.  As with IBS, it's often used when medics are unable to think of anything else to pin symptoms upon.

Thanks for the reply, I think estrogen then testosterone then progesterone too so hopefully I can find a good place to go, going to try new GP first. I know she prescribes testosterone so she should be very good, getting an appointment is tricky though

No help really with fibro apart from pain meds, let’s see what the new GP says when I can get an appointment!
