I was taking Kliofem tablets for a few years. Last year I felt they weren't making much of a difference so I decided to come off them. At 59, I hoped I was over the worst and had come through the other side. I came off them gradually (over 6 months) as my doctor said this would be the best way.

For a few months I felt fine and thought I'd cracked it. Unfortunately, all my symptoms started again plus some new gruesome ones. Total nightmare, so I'm back on HRT. This time I'm on patches and they do seem to be helping.

With hindsight, I wish I had just stopped taking the Kliofem cold turkey, rather than wasting 6 months of gradually feeling worse and then having to start all over again.
