When I phoned this morning I was told that all appointments for the morning clinic had gone and that the earliest a telephone consultation appointment could be made was for Friday but, if I was suffering phone back today at 2pm to see if I could see a Dr in afternoon clinic.
As I'm in quite a bit of discomfort I said I'd call back at 2pm in the hope of getting to speak to a Dr.
I somehow knew that there wouldn't be any appointments available if I rung back and decided to give the pharmacist a call who said that they could supply the antibiotics, so I excepted them.
At best the receptionist could have recommended going to the pharmacist for immediate relief and book the Friday appointment but she wouldn't let me do both, they won't hold or give you the appointment if you choose the pharmacist.
It was one or the other and if I did by chance have a UTI I really couldn't have waited until Friday to speak to a Dr and get treatment, that's a bit long.
Experience tells me not to let a UTI get set into my kidneys.
