I can't advise but I had similar once (different reason, changing products, triggered a 16 day bleed that wouldn't stop)

I refused the provera and had Mefanamic Acid which I took with max doses of tranexamic acid for three days and that stopped it - non hormonal.

So there are no hormonal options.

Yes, my friend had that issue, she had continuous bleeding for months and they put her on a hormonal solution that stopped it but didn't tell her than when she discontinued it it'd cause bounce back bleeding.

It's safe to take OTC ibuprofen at the max dose on the packet and see if that helps - mefanamic acid is very high strength NSAID (can damage stomach lining, must have it on a full stomach) but in combo with tranexamic, it stopped it dead.

Also, not for everyone I realise, but I have heavy periods, so I take every month tranexamic on my three heaviest days but I also take medicinal herbs the week of my period - Shepherds purse, Lady's Mantle and Yarrow - you can get them as tinctures from Indigo Herbs (I did a load of reading on all this and sent all the studies to my gynae, I have her blessing) - they also do really help.  But I understand not everyone shares my view on that.

Hope you figure it out

Yes I've been given tranexamic before and they worked but don't know if its because of my age now I'm 59 they said it can cause clots so they won't give them to me, I've decided I'm going book in for a mirena coil I'm not taking the provera

How thick was your lining? If it's thicker adding provera will help reduce it. If it's already thin it may not ba a good move as you can bleed because it's too thin. I was going to suggest tranexamic acid until you said they won't give it to you. Taking more progestin is a known strategy for bleeding problems but if you're happy with a mirena that would be better still.

My lining was 6.8 and to get a mirena coil is going be a bit of a wait by the looks of it, I can't see why they won't give me tranexamic acid now they gave it to me 2 years ago and I really don't want  a coil but I'm running out of options
