I think it's incredibly unlikely the Intrarosa caused those symptoms. Even just the period, physiologically speaking, due to the hormonal changes needed to bring about a period it would take much longer than a week... it is likely your body was 'almost' there anyway and if anything it perhaps added and tipped it over the edge.

Periods are not 'bad' - if you had all that building up in there, you needed to shed it anyway. Otherwise you would have thickened endometrial lining... and there's no way that build up can have occurred in a week.

It depends on an individual body sensitivity level to sex hormones. For me it was enough just 1 tablet of Gina put in the vagina to end up with horrible symptoms of poisoning estrogen. Any hormones I apply on my skin or insert into my vagina or uterus end up in my whole body causing different symptoms which affect me depending on current needs of the body. Ladies like me are not included in any researches, this is why we can often come across with absolutely wrong beliefs that “it is not possible”.

No need for that, medical professionals call that “hormonal sensitivity”, they are aware of that.  :)

About what?  :)
There are subjects: humans anatomy, physiology, pathology, gynecology, for students who study medicine in medical schools and universities.  :)

Oh I’m sure the period had been building up, I was just surprised at how heavy and painful (cramps) it was compared to the odd bit of light spotting I usually get every 2-3 months or so.

The worst bit for me was just that my moods felt really unhinged, in a way that hadn’t been so bad since I first started perimenopause (but before I started HRT). I was plagued with a lot of really dark intrusive thoughts and really felt like I was losing the plot a bit….now that I’ve stopped using it a couple of days ago the dark fog has lifted and I’m starting to feel more or less like myself again. I’ll just continue with my regular HRT and the Overton cream internally/externally like before.

I think I was hoping that intrarosa would be some sort of miraculous boost in terms of the clitoral issues I’ve been having in and off for the past year or so but I think it’s just not right for me

I know how hard it can be to function day-to-day, especially when you're responsible for others like your father. There are days when it feels like everything is too much, but finding small ways to manage stress, like reading or even just stepping outside for a bit, can make a difference.

I also sought out professional help a while back. In my case, a functional hormone testing was just the right thing to determine my treatment. I worked with a specialist who really helped me figure out how to manage my anxiety better.
