No I'm not on anticoagulants.  I wouldn't say it caused an abnormal discharge it was more staining normal vaginal moisture.  I had problems with post menopause bleeding a while before so hyper anxious about anything.

Hello ladies.

suzysunday - Can I ask if the pink staining disappeared when you stopped taking the turmeric?

I eat a little turmeric powder every day and I also have a pinkish stain appear on my underwear. I was concerned that it may be blood or perhaps the result of vaginal atrophy but you have made me think it may be the turmeric powder!

I am currently using two pumps of Oestrogel every day and recently changed from Cyclogest pessaries to Utrogestan tablets taken orally. I thought that if the Cyclogest wasn't working well and that was causing the staining then an oral progesterone would resolve that. However the pinkish staining continues.

Wishing you well and take care.

K.

Yes it did stop when I stopped the turmeric.  I was disappointed cos I'd spent a few quid on the tablets.  Maybe I should try again cos my bones don't half ache.

I would ask for an X-ray suzysunday rather than relying on turmeric which has no proven benefits.

Where exactly do your 'bones' ache?  Any particular time of day/night.

I thought that I had sciatica until a Nurse examined me last year, it's a bursitis deep in both hips.  'itis' = inflammation.  It's painful enough to wake me from 5.30 onwards.

Years ago I had acute, deep pain in the thigh muscles, so painful that I was unable to yell.  Turned out that due to bending over antique cabinets at fairs, I had aggravated something.  Do check your foot wear too as if the spine is compensating due to feet not being well supported, that may well cause pains.

I find that 'nurofen' taken when pain won't go, i.e. headache, backache, is enough as well as moving around often.

I've had lower back pain and pain in right glute that goes to the knee.  Generally feel aches in legs, shoulder.  I think it is lack of oestrogen, menopause maybe.  Perhaps hrt would help, I'm only on local hrt.  I get about okay, walk a lot and don't drive.  Some days worse than others of course.  It just gets you down sometimes.

Left hip also hurts but not as bad. I'm sure many on here are the same.

Estrogen definitely helped with my aches and pains, and then whenever I had progrsterone in for the 12 days they come back. I'd ask your GP about the staining you got  but give the turmeric another go. What supplement / brand did you get? You need one that has curcurmin (the part of turmeric that has active properties) in
. Its great stuff and defo worth a try, you might find that and hrt are enough to keep any inflammation down.
Pm me if you want to discuss brands etc, I'm under the care of a great functional medicine doctor so know some really good ones.
Oh, also wondering if you stretch after exercising, especially if you walk a lot in one go. Just a few stretches like you'd do after the gym would help.
