Dangerous Driving in Scotland by coach drivers
« on: December 19, 2024, 05:18:42 PM »

Since 2022 there have been 4 reported incidents of drivers not reading height warning signs = driving under low bridges: 2 in recent days!  Don't the Coach owners check that drivers are fully au fait with a) the areas that they are expected to drive through and b) that they can actually look for and read warning signs  :o

Often these incidents are under railway bridges which may impact on other services as the brick and supporting metal works have to be checked for damage etc..

I reckon sitting down stairs in the middle of the coach might be the safest place?  The Companies in our area employ men over the age of 70 to drive school buses   :-\
