Hello
Any advice welcome as I can’t find anything online that gives me a possible answer.
Went on HRT 3 years ago when I had not had a period for about 7 months and prior to that they had got less and less.
Following a scare this year when I bled after sex, I saw a consultant. Had an US scan which was normal apart from womb lining being 7.5mm. Had a pipelle biopsy, results of which were all normal. I was going to try the mire a instead of utrogestan and then decided I’d see how I felt without HRT, so I stopped.
That was approx 6 weeks ago. Have felt fine apart from breasts becoming sore lately and then two days ago I started bleeding like a proper period, along with painful cramping.
I haven’t read anything about HRT causing bleeding when you stop it (apart from maybe some spotting at first) so not sure what’s going on. Has anyone else experienced this? I can’t believe it’s a real period as I hadn’t had one for 7 months before HRT and nothing whilst taking it (apart from the withdrawal bleed from utrogestan).
Thanks
Sarah x
