Hi ladies,

I’m 51 and have been on HRT for about 5 years. Started on Femoston, progressing onto gel and tabs.

I was plodding along nicely on 3 pumps of Oestrogel and 200mg of utrogestan orally for 14 nights out of 28.

After a phone review in the summer the nurse said I should switch to 100mg of utrogestan continuously.

I’m generally fine on this new regime apart from light/medium spotting every two weeks or so.

Should I carry on with continuous or is the spotting a sign that I am not ready for it?

Would I switch back to my previous regime or I’ve also read about ladies taking a three day break at the end of 28 nights of 100mg?
