evoral 100 and still low oestrogen
« on: November 21, 2023, 09:20:15 PM »

Sorry I'm struggling to understand how to post on here so apologise if I've hit this wrong. I'm 46 and over a year on hrt and still struggling GP wanting to keep changing what I'm using gel-patch and now suggesting oral but doesnt want to increase dose as outside protocol. Shes giving me the option of oral oestrogen or antidepressants. Feeling like I'm back where I started. Do I need to push to see a specialist as I hear testosterone can help mood but she wont dispense that either...help

If you still have symptoms you either need oral or find someone who will prescribe more oestrogen. It's possible you just don't absorb well transdermally and will be OK with oral. You can ask for a referral to an NHS meno clinic but there's usually a long wait. If you can afford to go private it'll be much quicker. Oestrogen normally needs to be optimal before they'll prescribe testosterone.
