Vaginal atrophy
« on: February 27, 2024, 08:32:50 PM »

Hi
I started using Ovestin estriol cream last June then three months later vagirux daily.  I’m still getting the burning sensation around my urethra after a pee, it’s not a uti I’ve had lab tests.  I use Ovestin externally daily, it helps to reduce the burning but it doesn’t get rid of completely.
I’ve tried various moisturisers hydromol, epaderm, yes wb, yes vm, balance activ, yes ob, but they all burn around the area.  It still feels dry and sore.  Interosa did not help.

I’m on systemic hrt Everol 100 and utrogestan plus Testogel.
Is there anything I could use as a moisturiser, I know that oil based ointments are much gentler than water based.

Thank you.

It can really  B Trial and Error, I see that you asked on another thread.

Vagirux may not be the correct treatment, as the fillers or packaging may be different to 'ovestin' or 'vagifem'.  Have U any 'ovestin' if so insert every night for 2-3 weeks instead of 'vagifux'.  As well as applying on the outer labia to ease any sensations.

Also put the HRT product names into the search box: individually : to read appropriate threads which may have ideas. Make notes ;-).

There are a few ladies on here that seem to have problems controlling their vaginal atrophy, its not always straight forward for some women.
My best advice is to do a search on here and hopefully some threads will come up that will help you.
Vaginal Atrophy is the best word to search for and hopefully you will find something that relates to you.
