Hi,

My name is Viki, I think that I have been in menopause for a few years now, but it seemed to creep up on me, and it's only in the last few months that things reall started effecting me and I did some research.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday, and she was wonderful, immediately gave me a prescription for Evorel Conti, and so far so good. I definitely felt I bit more positive this morning (not sure if this is too soon or not, but I did)!

There is just one thing. My patch came off in the shower this morning, and I couldn't get it to stick again! The doctor did say this shouldn't happen, so not sure if that patch was just a dud.

What do you think? Or does anyone have some advice on how to prevent this. I don't want to go through my prescription in a week, it might be frowned upon!

Hi Vicky, welcome to the forum.
While you wait for a response I am sure I have read on here about this happening, perhaps if you did a search with some key words something may come up.

It happens.  Usually GPs don't have personal knowledge of how a patch will remain stuck 

  some put a plaster over the patch whilst swimming/showering or avoid that area completely.

It might be useful for you to keep a mood/food/syptom diary to chart progress.  Do read 'the bladder issues' and vaginal atrophy threads: 4warned is 4armed;-).

Ask away.  We don't bite.

Hello and welcome to the forum. My patches come off unless I cover them with Tegaderm dressings. I buy them from Amazon. Do not worry about trying to stick the patch back on. It is best to apply a fresh one.
