HRT advice

Hello
I have been prescribed oestrogel and utrogestan 100 by the doctor today but I am a little bit confused on the dosage and wondered if anyone could offer any advice
For the oestrogel the prescription states apply as directed will that just be two pumps as it says that is normal dose in the leaflet? For the utrogestan the prescription states 1 tablet per day but then in leaflet says take day 1 to 25 so do I have 3 days where i only use the oestrogel and then start again?
Thank you

changes can be scary, even when we want them

It's never clear!
2 pumps is recommended though some start with 1 for a couple of weeks then work up to 2. Sometimes ladies require 3, it's a bit Trial and Error.
I don't know about the 2nd part of the regime, hopefully some1 will be along, talking more sense than I am

Hi you use the Oestrogel every day….no break .
The way you take the Utrogestan depends if you are peri or post menopause. Are you still having periods ?

Like CLKD says, some start lower on the estrogel. First time I tried hrt, I used 2 pumps and it was too much for me and I quit due to side effects. 9 months later I tried again, this time on 1 pump and it was so much better. Side effects were minor and went away in a couple of months. So with the estrogen part you can always start lower than 2 and gradually increase until your symptoms have gone.

I was on HRT (ellesste duet 1mg) for 3 years and came off this in April this year so it is difficult to know if still having natural periods. When I started the HRT back in 2020 I hadn't had a period for about 9 months so maybe they have stopped now.
Is the utrogestan 100 a similar dosage of progesterone as the elleste duet 1mg?
There is so much information out there on getting the balance right between the two hormones my head is so confused
Thank you for any info it is much appreciated

It’s likely that you are post menopause ( but not definite.) if you are post menopause then you take Utrogestan 100mg every night on an empty stomach.
So use Oestrogel every day and take Utrogestan every night.
