I went to see my go this week to ask to up my does of hrt as I’m taking evorel sequi 50 patches. My gp prescribed oestrogel to apply with the patches 1 pump daily. Is this ok ? I’m a little concerned that the progesterone in the evorel conti patches won’t  be strong enough as I will be taking extra estrogen. My gp to be honest doesn’t seem too clued up on menopause so just wanted to know that this regime will be ok to start.

No. I wouldn’t combine the two. The progesterone in the sequi patch, is just for that 50 patch and may trigger unwanted bleeding.

If you want to increase your oestrogen, you may be better off on a 75 patch and separate progesterone ( utrogestan/ coil etc).

As above, I don'tthink it's safe either. Some people use an extra half patch instead of a separate progestogen.
