Lenzetto or not. Confused
« on: April 14, 2023, 10:45:52 AM »

Following my mirena fitting, I've had a whole host of side effects from excrutuating pressure headaches, joint stabbing pains, constipation, nausea and the feeling I've been sedated. I'm constantly tired and whilst im sure thats great if insomnia is an issue, it isnt so its just adding to my overall low CBA mood  Dr's finally approved  Lenzetto after high BP readings with the headaches.so I had to take more readings at home which were all over the place but OK according to Dr. So now I can try the spray which will either 'help or make me feel worse'.I really can't stomach feeling any worse! I am waiting for latest biopsy results which I was hoping would be quicker as if they are clear this things is being removed. I don't know whether to  hold off the lenzetto til the results are in or play hormone roulette and see what happens.

Usually it's the progesterone that causes problems, the oestrogen is usually the 'feel good' part of it. Is there a reason you had a mirena? How long have you had it?

Hi Sheila. Diagnosis Jan 22 following weird bleeding patterns of simple hyperplasia no atypia. As it was a very mild case and the bleeding was stabilising I opted for monitoring and 6 monthly biopsy. They did suggest mirena then but past experience of mini pill was concerning me. October biopsy the EH had resolved and I was back to normal periods though lighter and longer. Went to see NHS meno clinic who advised they would only presctibe oestrogen if I had mirena and vagifem one tablet twice a week. So at thrid biopsy 20 Mar under GA I agreed to mirena. It's taken since then to get my GP to agree to 1 squirt of lenzetto but I feel much much worse than I did with neither. So mirena has been in a total of 5 weeks.
