Hello everyone,

I was still 49 in January 2020 when I had my last period.

They say the average to reach the menopause is 51. 

Does this mean 49 is considered an early menopause and in this case, does it have any bearings on symptoms?

It's only 2 years from average so I think it comes under 'pretty noemal'  .

Agree with the others.
Don’t think it matters really, what age the periods disappear. Think I was 48, in august 2018 my last one came and went.

Symptoms arrived within 3 months of that.

I am 55 years old and had my last period about 9/10 years ago.

My symptoms kicked in about 6 months ago….

I must say that probably the only good thing about the menopause is that one doesn't have worry about periods anymore.
