A bit of history....feel free to miss it out and read the last paragraph or two!
I am on Estrodot 50 patch and take a daily and continual dose of utrogeston 100. I am 57...was on mirena for many many years for heavy periods, worked fantastically although means I don't know when my last one was as I never had one! Removed Nov 2019 and a shortly afterwards meno symptoms hit me like a truck
..flushes, anxiety etc
So..March 2020 went onto the above , dosage 25mg patch. Worked like a dream. Six months or so later started to spot occassionally. Since then I have had shows/spotting quite often. Oestrogen upped to 35 and then last September 50....both to possibly control spotting and because I was having the odd flush and the anxiety and low mood had started to take me back again. Had numerous scans and a hysteroscopy..lining thin and they can't explain spotting. I also use Vagirux 10mc twice a week as advised by the doctor.
Not had a show since Oct 2022...until last week. Didn't feel brilliant then had a show. After several days got through to a doctor who is sending me for a vaginal scan again next week to be sure then suggested I might be better off taking Evorol conti combined patch for bleeding. I am a bit concerned as bar the show and total lack of sex drive..which isn't wonderful but it is what it is, and slightly lower mood than I used to have perhaps, I have been ok on estrodot although the utrogeston took a bit of getting used to (tired, bad skin and thinner hair...which hasn't really altered) Anyone any information on if the switch might be good for me? Any bad experiences/good experiences..although I realise we are all different.
I never thought the menopause would be this difficult and such a pain so thank you ladies in advance for any advise or support
