Increase in migraines
« on: February 19, 2023, 09:31:53 AM »

Hi ladies, I started on HRT at the end of October’22 & for the first 3 months I felt so much better but since January my mood swings & anxiety have slowly return & I’ve just had 3 migraines (with aura) in a week, has anyone else suffered from increasing migraines & do you think I might need more estrogen or come off it completely? It’s so hard to get a GP appointment atm - I’m so confused 🫤

Migraines may increase due to hormonal upheavals.

Sorry that you are suffering: that and nose bleeds are things that I dread  :-\

Which HRT were you prescribed and why did you opt for treatment?

What type of HRT are you using?
Transdermal - patches or gel is said to be better to reduce migraines.
