Vagirux applicator
« on: February 11, 2023, 09:16:42 PM »

I’ve been prescribed Vagirux, and I’m happy that it seems to be helping but I’m not too keen on the reusable applicator. I’ve tried my finger but never feel that I can get it “lodged” properly without the applicator. My question is; what do you use to wash the applicator with? I’m just using a bit of hand soap frothed up and then rinsed loads but not so sure that’s the best! Px

I use vagirux twice a week for vaginal atrophy.  My GP also prescribes QV Wash (a soap free cleanser) to be used “down below” - it’s really good. I also scoot a little of the wash into a sink of warm water and immerse the applicator after each use.  You can then run the applicator under the tap to rinse, then dry, ready for the next use. -  no problem  ::)

I wash applicators in hot, soapy water and rinse well making sure I run the water through the applicator. With Ovestin you can take the applicator apart to clean it. I am not sure if you can with vagirux.

It sounds like you are doing the same as me Polly.  :)
