Hi,
I started urtogestan last week and began waking up with awful feeling in my chest. I didn't make the connection at first and even ended up seeing GP (who did an ecg! So I know it isn't my heart). I later realised it is likely to be reflux/side effect from the Utrogestan. I skipped my dose last night just to see and indeed the chest feeling is much better today although still there.
I don't want to take PPIs because I was on these about 10 years ago and I already have low bone density so want to avoid them as it can worsen that. Does anyone have any tips for how i can deal with or avoid the reflux feeling?

Just a quick reply for now...the best way to avoid this is to use the utrogestan vaginally. Same dose, inserted as high as possible in vagina (use finger). That way it gets the utro to the uterus while avoiding the stomach/digestive system. Loads of women on this forum do this if you search for it.

As above, using it vaginally avoids the digestive issues.
