I often have disturbed nights, I will fall asleep around 10 30pm and then usually wake by 4am and thats it, no matter how much I try to fall back asleep, I cannot. Will put the telly on and then what does happen ocassionally is, that I will doze off for an hour between 6 and 7am and then wake. But the strange thing is on the odd occassion, that I do have a solid nights sleep lets say 8 hours not necessary deep as I remember wakingin the night perhaps to scratch my nose but falling back asleep, instead of waking up refreshed I feel as if I have a hangover and feel very groggy for most of the day. I definitely feel better when I have had less sleep and even do well on a night of waking often. I have always felt worse when I have had too many hours sleep, anyone else have this, a friend said to me once, sleep induces sleep, so the more you sleep, the sleepier you feel
