Evorel Sequi frequent bleeding
« on: December 04, 2022, 12:28:56 AM »

Hello,
I've searched the forum for this but can't find anyone having the same issue. I was prescribed evorel sequi 12 months ago, at 50, due to peri symptoms of extreme anxiety, agoraphobia, mild self harm etc. It's been amazing and I've got my old self back. However, the last few weeks have been odd. Last month I had a 10 day bleed (which didn't match with the progesterone cycle of my meds) and now, about 10 days after the last one finishing, I'm having a bleed again. Does anyone else have any experience of this? My plan is to keep monitoring for another 2 months and if no change make a GP appt.

Would love to hear anyone else's experience

Morning.  Welcome!  It may be that your hormones are over riding the HRT regime or that you need a hike in dosage.

Hopefully someone will be along who has knowledge  ::)

Hello, yes, I've had exactly that. Some very nasty low moods and borderline suicidal then went on evorel sequi a year ago which has stabilised my moods ever since. But periods went very weird. Dropped down to 12 and 13 day cycles (actual period length 2-7 days), horrific cramps like labour each time, excruciating ovulation, and too painful to walk etc. Anyway had a scan and there is a polyp that I'm having a hysteroscopy for on Monday. Doctor thinks that's the cause of the bleeding issues and I'm going to get that sorted first, see what the bleeding them does and maybe change hrt over to something else. I have no idea if this is just my normal cycles taking over or whether the evorel caused it. I've been recommended the coil but I really don't want one.
