Having to stop HRT before scan
« on: November 23, 2022, 09:04:22 PM »

I am sure that there is a thread about this but I could not find it...I have to go for a scan due to breakthrough bleeding and my GP mentioned that according to guidance the HRT should be stopped whilst waiting. Apparently at the moment there is a long waiting list. I don't want to stop, I think I read here that it's not necessary to stop when on transdermal HRT. I would be grateful for any comments,

Hi it’s not necessary to stop. I’ve had three scans and never stopped. x

Same here - had about five scans over the past 18 months and never been told to stop.
