The vide-greniers (car-boots) over here are rubbish - I took a heap of beautiful hand-made cards.  All and sundry picked them up, man-handled them and guess what - SOLD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!  The cards normally sell at around 1.45 (sorry no Pound Sterling or Euro symbol) so, I'm going to see about selling on the Internet.  I'm going to clear out my collection of books and sell on E-bay too.  Might make a few bob.

I've been clearing stuff out and came across some clothes I've not work in 3 years - tried 'em on and they are back in the wardrobe - just trousers and loose tops.

Love sorting out old stuff - it's a cleansing.

I try to keep tops and jeans/trousers together in the cupboards otherwise I forget what is where  ::).  Himself has found several Charles Horner thimbles recently, at cheap prices - we now need a frame on which to put those ........... I'm collecting signed pottery but can't remember the name right now  :-\ as well as ugly mugs!

Nope.  They were made by the Pretty Ugly Mug factory in the mid-1970s. Now collector's items.  [collectors' ?]

Toby Jugs had another history altogether.

Some of them are really cheap but I expect they must be the common ones!

The cheapest mug I have found is a fiver and that is un-marked on the bottom but is obviously from the factory.  Upwards of £15+ for marked dependant on where I see them.

I found a pretty original painting of an exmoor pony in a gallery yesterday, by Nintette Butterworth, painted 1961.  It is a head study and the eyes are vibrante and the ears pricked - I walked by it 3 times before deciding to buy it.  The pony has a kind face.

So much for clearing out, we have sold some books recently: and have bought a couple of shelf units for displaying silver and pottery on, I have bought several pieces of 'radford' pottery since C.mas.
