I'm asking because so many of you have had all sorts of tests and scans - I saw a consultant in Feb (as my GPs are clueless about HRT, and she said come back in 6 months - during which time she retired, and seemingly terminated her patients. I had to go through my GP and make another appointment at another hospital, the earliest of which meant 8 months before follow up. That was then cancelled 'due to unforseen circumstances' 🙄 so no appointment until Jan 23 now. Should HRT patients be just left without any support whatsoever for almost a year, or should they be monitoring, doing bloods, checking uterus lining, etc?
I'm so fed up of it all, nothing much has improved with 75mcg oestrogen and 100mg prog (I've been keeping a diary) and I have a low level period pain type pain almost constantly, but absolutely nobody to ask about any of it.

Sadly many specialists are left to fend for themselves: 40,000 nurses left the NHS last year, 20,000 still in training.  Of course those skill bases cannot be replaced overnight.

How do U feel over all?  Is the HRT regime helping, it isn't always an instant cure? 

Hopefully someone on a similar regime will be along.

Tulip I really am sorry you have been left alone to deal with all this. With me, I am only having appointments to find progesterone and once that is sorted I expect not to have any more.

Can you sent an econsult and explain how you are feeling? It is not fair you have to deal with this. It is awful you are in so much pain.

I have no idea what or how an econsult is, lol, I don't even know who I'm seeing, except the person with "or a member of their team" is a man, which just seems wrong for meno stuff - they can empathise with us as much as we can when they get a kick in the balls!

I prefer to speak to a male medic. Women can be off handed especially with womens' problems.  Let. us know how you get on.

I apologise. My DRs only allow messages to be sent requesting an appointment. They call it an econsult. Patients are encouraged to never phone and anything has to be sent in a message to them.

I am glad you are not in pain but discomfort is not nice.

I feel the same as you. The menopause specialist I have appointments with is male and I would prefer a woman.
