Starting feeling Clammy/Sweaty I’m 12 yrs into post
« on: August 23, 2022, 11:54:24 AM »

Hi ladies

Thought I’d reach out to you ladies in the know😊

I’ve started getting the above sensations mainly in the daytime, there not what I’d say “hot sweats” where you can feel it rising and think oh good my face must be red. It’s more of a clammy feeling that starts if I’m doing housework (need to monitor other things yet)

Its about 20* here cloudy and I’ve had to put shorts & vest on so that I feel comfortable and not up my anxiety with panicking, I feel im getting paranoid about getting hot.

So is this normal to feel like this 12 yrs post ?
Im not on anything other than venlafaxine (since menopause started) & vegifem (last 6 mths) and all my bits in tack still

You sound a bit like me  :) I've been getting really clammy for several weeks now. As you say it's not like a normal hot flush.
I thought it was to do with the heat wave we had but it's a lot cooler now & I'm still feeling hot.
No answer really I mean I'm 65 & on low dose HRT..... but then I wonder if it's anything to do with this P.M.B. I'm experiencing at the moment.
Hope you feel better soon Dane34 x

Hey Dane, I am not in the know but I have been experiencing similar to what you're describing. I am about 8 years post meno, on no meds/hrt. But I have been getting these sweats all over, I also thought like Cazikins that it was due to the heat wave, but even now it's a bit cooler I get those sweats a coupe times a day. I was hoping it was something to do with maybe things get more intense before dying out?
But I am wondering now if it is something to do with having had covid in March/April and still having some symptoms of that months later. Did you have it? It's all still a mystery what that can do long term.

As far as I know coldlittleheart I've never had Covid. I only test if I feel run down.
It's strange how it's effecting me at the mo - 65 & having a bleed (3rd one in 18 months).
