a little bit sad today.  A relative will be nearby at someone's house.  They haven't directly told me I could go and visit, they just mentioned it in conversation, but it makes them a lot nearer to see.  And they would not mind if I said I'd drive over for an hour to see them all.  But with all my strange menopausal symptoms of late, it's much easier to avoid, especially when you haven't seen people in an age.

I don't want it to continue, I want to start seeing them but atm they don't even talk on the phone, just texting etc, so it's very hard to let people know where you're really at.

Otherwise ok, lots of clearing and tidying of the new place still, I'm spending a lot of time with elderly parent so with that and work the day disappears quite quickly and little gets done.  When I do tackle stuff I don't know whether to throw it away, keep it, where to put it etc  ;D

Avoidance is fine.  How would you feel if they popped by for half an hour?  Personally I don't know which is the worst thought!  we live in a mess anyway so there's no where to sit except the floor.  A friend not seen for 15 years offered to drop by .......... I haven't been able to reply  :'(

I have to do what is right for me and DH.

Muggy head.  Slightly woozy.  Still coughing though less.  Wide awake until 3.00-ish, partly due to DH's sudden, hacking coughing spasms.  Cuppa to hand.  Can't concentrate on much at all  :-\.  At least the headache has gone.  Sore throat is less.  It's certainly got fangs, this Virus  >:(

I definitely find it easier to visit people than have them come to me. That way I can control how long the visit lasts! Even better if we meet up outside at a cafe or something.

Would meeting somewhere neutral work better for you KaraShannon?

Would love to be a fly on the wall  ;D

KaraShannon - what did U decide about the visitors?

Well - two friends who learnt of our positive status today and although they live over 45 mins away, have offered to shop for us  8)   :-*

Yesterday we hardly coughed: this morning, hacking across England  ::).  Can't decide whether my sense of taste is back/not.  Blueberries taste 'off'  >:(

A friend has offered to do shopping - he lives 45 mins away .  Off to make a list!

Nice that you'll be getting shopping CLKD.  When I had the cellulitis, having a shopping delivery was a very small but very welcome highlight of the day.

Hope you'll both be better soon  :)

I didn't see relatives, they weren't that proactive about it anyway, considering they would so near.  I'm not really too bothered about it at the moment, too many other things I'm trying to deal with.

And at the moment this awful itching on my skin and scalp which I've created a separate thread about.

Would an online shop not save your friend a journey.

Getting a slot might prove difficult Minusminnie - the village shop is great for basics and deliver.  We've worked out that by Friday we will be allowed out  :o so look out supermarkets  ;D.  If I have the energy, that is.

I bit my tongue last night.  Hard  :o :-X.  So sore that I can't eat my Marmite on toast  :-\ so had to make do with freshly picked runners with olive oil and black pepper for lunch.   Still weary.

Really weary.  Slept through the night with busy dreams which hasn't helped  ::).  I think that there is slow improvement  8) although I feel hotter than in previous days.  We don't have a thermometer ......... time for a doze ;-)

Not feeling particularly well, bloated. Again. Guts windy.  I'm going to stop eating live yoghurt at breakfast as I think that I may be over doing it!

Still very tired.  Can see things to do outside but haven't the energy yet so must make a list.
