Feeling uninspired as I am getting back to work emails. I have no desire to go back, seeing the kids will be good but I know it will be another stress-filled school year as we will have more children and less staff.  ::) :-\

Could you do private tutoring C.C.?

Too early to decide.

No, I work in a before and after school program so tutoring is not something that's an option. If I could work from home that would be ideal, but not child care. I'm thinking this will be my last year, I'm not getting much joy anymore.

Pretty much, yes.  In a year Maggie will be grown, and hopefully, my oldest ds will have started finding his own way in life. For me, something that's easy on the nerves. :-\

Dog sitting ;-) ?

When she is older and not nipping and biting everything. I can't trust him with her -right now.

Feeling worn out. Not much sleep. Woke up about an hour after going to bed and I was restless. Dh is a noisy sleeper (snoring, loud breathing, occasional coughing fit) so I took two magnesium hoping that would settle me, fell asleep an hour later but I woke up I felt so groggy. Puppy was especially bratty this morning, had me up before 5:30 and I don't have the patience. Dd is home today so she can deal with her for awhile.

tnx.  One was a pen friend from the 1980s, we both loved talking about gardening: so her letters have been shredded into our compost  ;)

Tired.

It is sad to relive those memories. My mom had a pen pal since she was in high school. Her pen pal lived in Wales, in Bridgend I think it was.  They exchanged gifts and pictures with their letters for many years.  Mom and Dad went over to the UK to visit her and her family in the early 80s and she and her daughter came over here a few years later.  It was a great relationship for both. Mom was devastated when her pen pal became ill and passed away.  She had great memories, and would often speak of her friend fondly.

I have a pit in my stomach, got the official return to work letter. Back to work begins next Thursday for 2 weeks of training. I literally broke into a sweat as I read it. That's not a positive reaction. The two weeks of training, not sure if it's for me because new hires have to go through all that stuff before the school year begins.  I need to balance work and being ok with leaving Maggie for a few hours at a time. It stinks.... :'(

How much of these feelings are being driven by leaving Maggie ?  What does DH say about the matter?

Weary.
