Feeling happy, our youngest ds got engaged a few days ago. It didn't come as a surprise because he asked to borrow money to help him out, his plan was to take his gf on a 2-day camping trip so he could propose.  She already picked out the ring a while ago, ds was waiting for the right time to finally pop the question.

Long and lazy weekend here. Maggie had a visit to the vet as she had a mild bacterial infection on her lower belly.  All that was needed was a bottle of antibacterial soap to keep the skin clean.  Back for a follow-up and her boosters in another week.

Gonna open a bottle of Pinot Noir at dinner to toast the happy couple....(that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it lol)

CLKD- how are you feeling?

Morning - tnx for asking.  DH tested +ive this. morning  :o mine was negative  :P.  Now we have to think about all those vulnerable people that we have been in contact with .........  ::)

I slept better and the cold is on its way out.  DH doesn't ache, his worst day is over though it came on suddenly.  We both slept.  Intermittently.

Has Maggie been through long grass = allergic reaction?  Hopefully not mange mite !

Sorry to hear about dh, hope he has a quick recovery.

Maggie doesn't have mites, vet doesn't think it isn't an allergy. It's a common skin infection the vet sees all the time.

Tired again this morning, between dh's intermittent snoring, coughing and my own insomnia, I'm not sleeping all that much.

It could be her food C.C. - my cat had constant itching which was treated for a flea allergy even though she never went outside: we did have a dog though  :-\. My biggest regret is that I didn't change her food - 6 weeks B4 she was PTS I changed her diet and the itching stopped within 24 hours  :'(.  I'll go to my Grave with that guilt.

Me - watching amazed at the cycling acrobatics from Edinburgh  :o  ;D

Thing is she's not itchy at all,  so the vet knew it wasn't a food allergy. It's more like contact dermatitis.

Could it be the washing detergent or simply that she's sweaty underneath?  I haven't used conditioner for years because I believe that if laundry has a perfume after a full cycle, then the rinse isn't getting rid of the product.  Perhaps use less in her wash and give the blankets etc. a good rinse cycle?

Tired now but not exhausted as I have been.  Sun has been lovely  :-*

The only thing I use to wash her crate mat (no blankets) is a fragrance-free detergent with a laundry-disinfecting wash and an extra rinse.  She must have come into contact with something as she does love to roll in the grass.  It's pretty much gone now.

Almost time for bed 🥱

Ditch the disinfecting wash?  It's marketing hype ;-).  Same as adding 'Dettol' to our laundry machines to kill bacteria, hey some bacteria is good !  Is she bothering the areas?

Us - crawling around a bit  :-\.  I swiped the handles and council bins yesterday, today I need to TACKLE the bathroom !  Already there are spiders' webs along the window sill  >:( ....... I'm armed and dangerous  ;D. We R both so tired.

This Virus has talons  >:(  :-\.  I had 'flu many years ago and it was nowt like this!  At least my sense of taste hasn't disappeared despite us both testing +ive this morning.

Remember those spiders, the other day I collected a lot on a soft brush however; some escaped from that brush over night, crawling over the bathroom ceiling  :o  :P .......
