She’s not CLKD. I am though 😩.
Sorry, this is off topic, but I need to talk  ……..
The GP thinks it’s something called “giant cell arteritis” that she has now, which causes hideous headaches, weight loss and, frankly, can be pretty serious.
Honestly, I don’t know how she’s still here! In the last 10 years she’s had - 2 heart attacks, major stroke, mini stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, colitis, numerous infections and now this.
She’s, honestly, my hero 🦸.
Sitting in the doc’s surgery with her this morning, she said to me in a loud voice (as she’s hard of hearing too  )…….
“I don’t know what I’d do without you, Songbird  .
A wee lady next to us was in bits when she heard her  ……

About 4.30 I got properly hungry so DH cooked some meat/veg pies in the air fryer.  I managed half and enjoyed it.  The rest will do for lunch tomorrow.  So feeling better

How is your Mum Songbird? 

Today I'm beginning to feel human.  That awful feeling around the belly button is going.  We worked out that because we sleep long and deep that my body is starved overnight ......... so had muesli with fruit added after my bath last night; it will take a few days to know whether it helps.

Otherwise: OK .............

Oh my goodness CLKD. We were at the hospital for over 6 hrs  …..To be fair, they were very thorough. She has been put on high dose of steroids until a biopsy can be done to confirm or rule out this “Giant Cell Arteritis” artery problem. The steroids will at least control her headaches for now.
Untreated GCA is very dangerous 
I’m absolutely shattered. There’s such a lot of hanging about and I had to do all of the communicating with the medics (and then had to explain everything to mum) 
Hubby, however, rewarded me with a lovely magnum ice cream so all good
