Been for a regular blood test.
This reminds me to ask if anyone has had one of those Consultant Pharmacist medical reviews? I've been asked to attend one next week, following the blood test, in another town.

Busy lately, celebrated Maggie's first birthday yesterday (Wednesday). I took her through the drive thru at Starbucks and got her a Pup Cup (a small cup of whipped cream) and the girls at the window were making a fuss over Maggie. If she had not been strapped in, she would have jumped into the drive thru window.
Work is making me weary, 5 more weeks til the school year is done.

Had “words” with gynaecology outpatients today, following an appointment which mum attended yesterday. I took her up to have her “6 monthly” change of prolapse pessary. When she came out she said that it had been sore this time around. She didn’t say anything else and remained pretty quiet for the rest of the day.
I found out today that she hadn’t slept a wink last night due to the discomfort and that the nurse had been, as mum put it, “very heavy handed” and that she had cried out in pain at the time! So much for care and compassion!! They need to get off the bleedin picket line and get back in touch with their compassionate side! She didn’t want to tell me at the hospital because she knew I would have ripped into the nurse! Bloody right I would have!
Anyhow, they got the message when I phoned today! She has never had any trouble in the past (when the consultant does the procedure).
It won’t happen again because I’ll insist on being in the room. Rant over  :angryfire:

Mum's allowed only paracetamol, CLKD, so she's popped a few of these today and, to be fair, the pain has subsided a fair bit thank goodness because I'm taking her to Berwick-Upon-Tweed a week on Mon for a break and she's so looking forward to it.
I've become so protective about her now. It's true what people say about roles reversing  :-\
Thanks to you and Jaypo for your support/interest.  :foryou:

So she has been chewing the back of one of our sofas for a couple of days and I caught her when I got home from work. She chewed right down to the wood frame and left a 2 inch hole so she has eaten some of the foam. She has 6 different bones so she doesnt have to chew on the furniture. Then dd took her for a walk and she suddenly lunged at a woman to say hi but she's afraid of dogs so she got spooked. Dd was not pleased.
Thankfully the neighbour asked her for a play date with their dog so she was able spend all that excess energy.

No, the bag of food is in the basement and she's not allowed to go down there. She's chewing on the furniture and scaring people.

Aww songbird, what a nice daughter you are,mum will love Berwick upon Tweed 🥰
