Moved the tender plants from the porch so that I could clean the floor: they have had a good watering, then stood a couple of hours in the sunshine and now I have lifted them back out of the wind.

Have found some small shoots on the wisteria; sniffed the various tulips around the plot  8) ; fed wild birds and pond fish ; eaten a light lunch [boring  :(].  Now catching up the daily papers.

Howdy! Just finished morning walkies and lunch, trying to enjoy the sunshine while it's here.  The weekend is gearing up to be super soggy.  Happy to see the tulips just about open and the peonies are up about a foot now. I guess I have to find a cage to put around them, once they bloom and it rains, they really droop.
Back to work in a couple of hours.

TGIF! Took Mags to the vet for her pre-surgery appointment.  She was stressed/excited, so dd had to hold her as blood was being drawn. She weighs a petite 55 lbs, and she likely won't get any bigger.

The week is almost over, and there's a half bottle of Reisling in the fridge waiting for me after work. ;)

No, not much hype here.  The national tv networks that will be covering the Coronation are advertising the broadcast (starts here at 4am) but that's about all I've seen.

Worked am and pm shifts, walked Mags in between, cleaned the bathrooms, and vaccumed up all her fuzzy leavings lol.

Oh ya...Happy Star Wars day....May the 4th ;D

Been to Milton Keynes  :o  :o for the 1st time in 5 years.  Now I remember why I don't bother !!!  Overwhelmed by being shut inside, it was desperation as I need new Knickers.   :-X

Home now PHEW!  Small lunch to hand.  Feet up.  It will take 5 years to get over the visit  ;D

I got a call from my dad's neighbour yesterday afternoon and he told me dad had another fall (I was still at work). Dad was picking up his mail at the community mail box and he tripped on part of the sidewalk and fell. He had his keys in his hand and one of them lacerated the fleshy part of his hand below the pinkie.  Thankfully he didn't sustain any broken bones. The neighbour found him lying on the side of the road not long after and brought him back home.  I was able to leave work and go pick him up, dd came as well.  We drove him to the ER, arrived around 4:45, it took 45 minutes to get him triaged, and registered, then a loooongg wait in a hallway. He got a tetanus shot because he wasn't sure when he had his last one.  He didn't see the doctor until close to 11:30, went for xrays, and then got the stitches put in at midnight. By the time I dropped him off and dd and I got home it was past 1 am this morning.  I was overtired so I didn't fall asleep right away so I running on fumes this morning.  I have to go over and change his dressing this afternoon and do some housework. He has full use of his hand but can't get the dressing wet.  I joked with him while we were waiting that we might be still there to watch the Coronation.

Hi C.C,

Coronation still seems to be going on, so you can't miss it even if you tried 😂

Long  worrying day for you all. Least you know you have good neighbours with your dad. Hope he continues to recover well. Funny role reversal when as 'children' of older parents we suddenly become carers at times. Makes me feel no excuse to not be adult anymore!  He relieved be got swift help initially and he could have been a lotworse. But of extra TLC never amiss.

Hope today is\was calmer. X

Been there etc.!  1 moment they are standing upright, the next - face splat!

Look out for bruising, maybe on the shoulders and belly area - after my fall 15 years ago, I was surprised to see where I had actually banged!

watched the Coronation  ::) :-* - we 'do' really well!

Also watching the rain  >:( so no gardening  >:( >:(

Went to a local classic cars event (not really for the cars, - mum and I were more interested in the food stalls  ;D).
Went from there to feed the ducks at the local park. I swear the ducks recognise mum now. She's like the pied piper (but for ducks) ;D ;D
