Going to jet wash the patio and the seal with shiny patio seal. Did it last year and it looked great. Making the most of the sun and feeling much better today.

Took advantage of the 20% sale at Dunelm today. Got some new cutlery and lovely duvet set 👍…..
There’s always a downside though 👎……….We are getting ripped off (certainly around here) in coffee shops. £4.60 for a sliver of hot chocolate cake and small dollop of cream ☹️….and £4 for a small flat white??
Blimey, I’m going to dust off my nespresso machine and get hubby to make a couple of scones and sit in our garden for our weekend treat!

Prices of everything has risen which means that cafes etc are struggling to survive.  Business rates, power, cleaning materials, basic products especially milk, coffee, tea etc..

Slept for 2 hours this afternoon which is becoming a habit  :-\.
Laundry waiting to be hung out, should have done that at 1.30  >:( - would be dry by now

However: shortly after typing this the heavens opened  :o so laundry went out at 10.pm overnight: caught in the over night rain so still out there  ::)

MotoGP over for another weekend  8).  I could sleep.  Again  :-\ but getting round a bowl of chocolate ice cream, listening to a blackbird singing through the drizzle  :-*

This happened at half past midnight on Friday, obviously owners had returned from a night out then let 3 dogs into the garden  >:(.  Now these 3 bark all day long, the have a dog flap - owners out at work, the moment anyone talks in our Estate, the dogs start.

DH has been watching a thunder map for our local area ........... clever these technicians, however, I can hear it without resorting to technology  ;D

I suppose that the dogs are OK, i.e. there isn't someone stuck in the property needing assistance?

Cuppa to hand.  Yesterdays papers to catch up on ...... thunder gone now.

Went on a long 7k walk with our walking buddies this morning, Maggie in tow, lovely morning for it too, made a lemon pound cake for dessert for a Father's Day BBQ later, and made my dad a crockpot of chili for him to freeze. I don't think he's eating very well judging from his recyclables, canned baked beans, and frozen mac and cheese containers.  I added a bunch of veggies to the chili because I know he's not cooking those for himself.

Happy Dad's day to the dad's out over there. :)

C.C

Just had to say what a caring daughter you are, keeping an eye on your dad and preparing some good home cooked food for him. Love you sneaking in the veggies too. My husband eats healthily, would eat fruit all day long but can be reluctant to eat some veg... BUT he will eat most any veg if  I make it into soup. Bonus is I make batches of it so always some in the freezer. Doing a new one this week. Spinach and lemon soup. That will up my iron levels!

Kind of you to add a kind thought to all Dads. Lost my dad 14 years ago, but as with every year, a little note for him today put with a fave photo along with an extra smile for him too.
