I’m really not a football fan but had to watch the England/France game tonight. Absolutely gutted for England. OMG, I wouldn’t like to be the penalty taker  :'( ….. Well done for getting so far boys 👏

Is the cough due to the changeable air?  It's dry cold here ......

My neighbours' dog grumbled then barked at me, I had a heavy coat, hat and gloves on  ;D. When I spoke she still looked confused, whereas usually she is all over me  ::)

Birds fed.  Washing up done.  Laundry going round.  Birds fed and water filled up.  Cuppa to hand.

I'm pretty sure it's viral, but it only comes around during the night and in the morning. By mid-day it seems to settle.  There's a virus going around the school and we've had many kids off sick in the last couple of weeks.

Could it be dust in the bedroom, that's usually what starts my coughing and sneezing fits?

Same old. Same old.  Brought some decs from the loft and put laundry on.

Mr Smith, who was out walking in Chequers Close, spotted a delivery robot** having trouble and took a photograph.

On his Facebook post he wrote: "Saw this poor little mite trying to negotiate a high, slippery kerb in Chequers Close earlier today, wheels spinning like crazy, we gave it a push onto the path, it very politely thanked us and carried on its way.

"Should it have been let out on its own in these weather conditions? It didn't even have a scarf."

He said the robot "looked a little lost" as it came across the road and then became stuck on the snow and ice trying to mount the kerb.

"I lifted its back end up to help it on, and it shunted backwards and forwards a bit, and then said 'thank you very much' before heading away."

We could have a whole thread about these little helpers  ;D

Cute story CLKD,  I haven't seen anything like that here...maybe in the city.

Morning shift, dropped Mags at daycare, and called the vet as her eye infection has resurfaced in both eyes this time. She has an appt. tomorrow, wrapped crocheted paw print coasters for the staff at daycare for a little thank you as next week is Maggie's last week til the spring,  did the vaccuming and mopping and put the laundry on.
Eating lunch now, putter until I go back to work.

Crikey you've been busy.  ;D. If you GOOGLE BBC News, Cambridgeshire ....... it might take you to the delivery robots.

I am relieved. My dog only has 3 legs (amputated due to bone cancer), yesterday she wouldn't eat and was on 2 legs - or mostly in a heap on the floor. Cue panic about returning cancer. So we have been to the vet, she has a temperature and has pulled a muscle in her shoulder. She's on pain killers and antibiotics and looks happier already.

I can feel the relief from here.  Especially at this time of year!

Dogs don't realise because they live in the moment, then go down hill when in pain etc..

Been for a walk  :o, met people not seen for years, also walking.  Home now, fire lit.  I've sorted out the wrapping for DH's gifts  ;)

Going with mum and my close friend for a lovely pre Christmas supper at a local hotel tonight. We have done this for the last few years but this is the first year without her mum  :'( so it will be particularly poignant tonight…

Not on the same plate  :o  :-X. Enjoy ... we are debating wether the C.mas pud dated 2017 will be fit to eat  ::)

How's the dog sheila99?  Pain relief working it's magic?

My nephew tries to prove points that he has no way of proving : like all Tories are the cause of food banks, they didn't happen under Labour: insulting me for the last hour by including me in his comments.  So I will be cutting him out.  He's back tracking now that I have suggested that my well earned 'tory' money will be spent elsewhere.  I had planned on slipping a few pounds through next year - he didn't know that - too late.  We have topped him up a few times not for any particular reason other than he lives in Acton and has to commute.  He's chosen a job with low pay: £K21 at 35 years old FGS.  Enjoying a job but blaming the Tories on how much he earns, when he works for a Private company  :-\

Put another log on the fire  8).  Watched the rain.
