CLKD- RCMP=  Royal Canadian Mounted Police  :) or Mountie for short.  The Queen had a long-standing relationship with them, specifically, the Musical Ride, a troop that performs drills on horseback accompanied by music.

joaniepat- I missed the procession, I'll try to catch it later during the re-airing of the funeral.

jaypo - it's like any forward planning: so much can be prepared prior to The Event!  too many nights of 'what ifs'  ::) - then it's arrived  ;)
He will visit I'm sure - if you cook his special meal !

Took nurofen at 9.30 and paracetamol at 4.30 ......... gum and tooth still sore.  Appt tomorrow at 4.30 to check if there is an infection.  I had a small piece of root shed itself this evening so hopefully the area will feel less sore by the morning

Fish and chips for tea - enough chips to fry up for tea tomorrow.

Did nothing exciting outside the usual weekday stuff. Dh had to go to a university hospital to meet with a team of researchers conducting a study on unexplained chronic cough (he's had one for over 5 years). He had to do some breathing tests and then was fitted with a microphone on his throat so they can hear him cough.  He has to wear it for 24 hours and he's to go back tomorrow and get the microphone removed and have more tests, and speak with the doctor who is heading up the study.  Dh hopes he will get some answers as to the cause of his cough and finally get some treatment.  He's been coughing so long that he developed a hernia.

Tnx C.C.

Your DH may have silent reflux which has given me a constant irritating cough.  Omeprazolol has eased most of those symptoms.

Slept heavily.  Last night I took out a small piece of root ........ so the area is less sore.  Taken Paracetamol with breakfast, another appt. this afternoon to check if there is an infection.

I ache all over through tiredness as well as the unresolved issues with the care home where Mum stays  :-\

I have used salt water - there's none left in the Dead Sea ;-)

You have a lot going on CLKD by the sounds of it.

I'm thinking of you.

Let us know how you get on with the dentist xx

Tnx.  Since the root expelled itself 24 hours ago, the soreness has receded  8).  The Dentist - not met her before - had a good prod around and there is no sign of infection.  PHEW!  My Surgeon will contact me with the next step: it was to be a bone graft but if activity in that area of the upper jaw is going to induce pain, we may need to think again!

Been and restocked the cabinets at the antique shop.  Sat by the ponds eating bread and marmalade on our return  ::)

Laundry hung on the line.  Feet up. now.
