The OT was very good, Jaypo. Mum’s getting another grab rail in her shower to help steady her so that’s good. She assessed her getting in and out her bed and was pretty happy with that. She was so nice.
The only other development is that mum’s to get a pacemaker within the next fortnight
..
It will, hopefully, give her a better quality of life as she drops off to sleep at the drop of a hat right now

Cycled out to watch the Tour of Britain which was local to me today. The weather was amazing and managed to get to 2 different places to watch the pros whizz through. The organisation to pull events like this is phenomenal and I love just watching the motorbike outriders coming through before the main peloton. Amazing how blue skies and sunshine can lift the spirit so much.

Glad that you enjoyed the experience :-))).
. we are keeping up on TV. We have been to live events - in Leamington Spa, the men raced by so quickly 1 was unable to determine who was who and learning over the barriers is dangerous! We also saw the girls push off at Oundle, managing to drive across country to see them go through again.

Thanks CKLD. I was pretty hot when we got home. Ice pack down my back job!
My husband has been into cycling since he was a young boy (when it was not so fashionable) and got me into it many moons ago when there weren't many females participating. We have watched (& cycled parts of) several stages of Tour de France over the years in France. Love it. Its such a spectacle. I'm not quite as fit as I was but not yet on a e-bike (just yet!)

Finally, after having the wreath and bits to make up an Autumn thingy, done it! I need a few more artificial bits: it's got small pumpkins and some long stems of 'berries' in oranges/greens/browns, now I need a few to put a bit of colour. If I remember I will add poppies in November 4 the month of Remembrance.
Eaten a lolly whilst watching Tour on 📺. Feet up.

Managed to find some shade where there was a stiff breeze, enough to ruffle the Telegraph so that I was unable to read it. At dusk we sat on our patio in the cooler air: 4 bats were over head, doing their Red Arrows routine B4 going off to feed; then a tawny owl flew over almost brushing my hair
. 4 hedgehogs snuffling around, one chewed into my slipper, it's teeth are sharp!

Pipistrelle and noctule bats last night.
Rested. It's too warm, fortunately plenty of sport on 📺. In fact, there's too much on at the same time

Went to a garden centre this morning
- bought another C.mas gift
as well as more false flowers to continue making the Autumn door wreath. I'd already put orange/green gourds on but it needs a lifting colour: that'll be blue/purple then
Evening meal eaten after 2 hours avoiding the drizzle to get some astrantias repotted.

Wreath for front door almost completed. It needs securing so that it doesn't scratch the paint.
Been to a book and antique shop. Too warm to do any gardening, plus I'm too weary - so laundry sorted, birds and pond fish fed. Feet up

Popped out for my covid booster and flu jab. Hubby took me for a lovely piece of lemon meringue pie and coffee for being a brave girl
