I watched the first episode of series 2 of The Couple Nextdoor last night (I do watch live TV occasionally  )

First series was really good but the jury's still out on this second one

I love bake off but it makes me crave naughty things that are cholesterol bad guys. It does inspire though very creative. I do like making things when I feel energetic 😂

Riot Women anyone? I had high hopes but it soon became very predictable  I find Lorraine Ashbourne always plays the same character whilst Joanna Scanlan just wasn't believable, and the storyline

I felt the same. Not sure the portrayal of some of the characters did menopausal women any favours. I didn't bother watching the second episode.

That’s a shame it looked promising. Haven’t attempted it yet. Been watching Goliath on Prime. First season really good. A bit freaky in season two. Two more seasons to go. Murder before evensong quite good,  I read the book ages ago. Channel 5 player if anyone fancies it.

yes I like Murder before evening song too.  Neville out of Harry Potter as vicar just makes me chuckle but quite good.

I tried episode 2 using FF and gave up. It was even worse than episode 1!!!

It did look promising and it would have been good to see menopause featured on TV, but not like that!

Is the Evensong series by that 80s music chap whose now a vicar? I've avoided the books because every time I've seen him on TV I've found him arrogant and obnoxious.

Yes, it's by Reverend Richard Coles, formerly of Bronski Beat. It's OK, watchable, and at least it doesn't make me cringe like Riot Women did. Sounds like I was wise not to continue with it!

Yes Rev Rich. The series is good so far. I used to love watching Inspector Morse  years ago, and Lewis. Cosying up with the cat, a hot mug of tea, some biscuits and a mystery. So good! When I finally got to spend a lot of time in Oxford it was fascinating to look at some of the locations!
