Yes Rev Rich. The series is good so far. I used to love watching Inspector Morse  years ago, and Lewis. Cosying up with the cat, a hot mug of tea, some biscuits and a mystery. So good! When I finally got to spend a lot of time in Oxford it was fascinating to look at some of the locations!

Ooh I love Morse, Lewis, and Grantchester too, but I decided to give Evensong a try and hated it. It felt like it was trying to be Grantchester and failing. Off to dig out the Morse boxset - they don't make them like that anymore  :'(

Yes, it's by Reverend Richard Coles, formerly of Bronski Beat. It's OK, watchable, and at least it doesn't make me cringe like Riot Women did. Sounds like I was wise not to continue with it!

I just tried Evensong and hated it, but as you say it wasn't totally cringeworthy like Riot Women.

Yes I’ve got to admit. Morse was unbeatable, absolutely loved it. Still do. The music in it was sublime. And John Thaw’s grumpy demeanour was so much fun. Poor old Lewis 😁

Slow Horses and The Morning Show on Apple TV are a really good watch.  There is a lot on the streaming services at the moment.

Must admit loved the likes of Vera, Morse repeat give me a shiver thinking no new ones to follow.
Recently 5 have some good one Ellis and Dalgliesh with Bertie Cavell.

Couple to catch up on on BBC i player is The Gone....series one and two great bing watching and on Drama Signora Volpe with Amelia Fox....think a new series in the spring.

Murder after evensong tonight - who'd thought HP's Neville in lead.

Landman on Amazon prime is extremely good, it’s about the perils of the oil business, very well acted, again starring Billy Bob Thornton he’s a great actor, never really paid much attention to his stuff before.

;D.  I don't believe that Fawlty Towers would be aired these days ........ all that knocking Manuel about, shouting at each other, everything seemed too noisy!

The Young Ones was brilliant.
Also, Bottom. Thought it was hilarious at the time.

'at the time' probably covers many of those programmes.  "Yes Minister" however, is relevant today.
