I've just watched a whole episode of Call The Midwife and I never really realised how good it is.  They're so lucky to have the talents of Jenny Agutter and Miranda Hard together in one production.   Tonight's episode turned me into a fan of the programme, but I understand I'll have to wait til next year before the next series!!   :(

We watched that last night too CLKD, not sure it was meant to be funny but we were roaring with laughter at certain bits.  I don't think the lady of the house was a natural cook was she?

Bit like me: as DH said, they simply weren't prepared for 1950s living ……… where as we've been through it  ::).  She had no idea how to 'make do'  ;D ……… and the School Dinners didn't go down particularly well either ………. as for cooking the whole weeks' meat ration in one 'go'  :o ……….

Can't wait for next episode, 1970s …….. ?

We have started watching Fortitude, which I recorded.  Having to watch an episode a night as the plot is complex so need to keep it fresh.  Only trouble is I have to keep pausing it to explain what's going on the husband. :-\ :-\

Richard III about to be buried in Leicester - the programme goes on until 8.00 p.m.  :o

Crikey - 4 large black horses, 2 from Germany 2 from Belgium plus 2 riders in armour ……… he won't be buried until Thursday, it's a Service of Memorial today.

Also the coffin isn't very big - DH has suggested that he was simply thrown into the box  ::) and is now a jumble inside.  The cortege has been to Bosworth Fields for a small ceremony, those horses will be tired by the time they have been there and back to Leicester  ::)
