Evorel conti neck rash

Hi, I’m new on the patches and after 3 weeks I’ve got a rash on my neck and upper back that’s driving me mad, has anyone else had this reaction? I’ve emailed my GP to see what I need to do but I can’t think of anything else that could’ve caused this reaction. Help!

Hi there,
I was allergic to evorel, it was the glue on the patches, when I stopped using them my rash cleared up within days

The rash is on my neck though, patch far away from it. The GP asked me how long I’d been on it, you think she’d know! Told me to take antihistamines and use cortisone cream so basically I diagnosed and treated myself!!

Hello Linz. Welcome to the forum. What a shame you had an allergic reaction to the patches. I would ask to try something else. Antihistamines can only do so much.

Hi
I was covered head to foot in the rash, it's your bodies reaction to an allergy, doesn't have to be where the patch is

Hi Liz. I think if you were allergic to the patch then you would either have a rash underneath the patch or have an all over body rash. I don't think it would cause a rash in one place, away from the patch, such as you have. I hope the cortisone cream sorts it out for you.
When my children were young I had an incredibly itchy rash on neck and shoulders. It turned out to be headlice. I was really embarrassed as I hadn't realised that they could bite away from the scalp. What sort of rash is it?

Hi
My rash actually started in my chin then spread from there, sorry my memory still isn't great 😂

The rash is like red blotches on my neck. The redness on my back was widespread but an even red rash. I sent photos to GP and she didn’t mention headlice. I’m worried now as I’ve got a hair appointment on Friday so I’d be mortified if he said it was lice!!

If it's an even red rash I wouldn't think it was headlice. Is the cream helping?
