You need to go to your GP and request Vagifem pessaries (little tablets you insert up there at night, using a pre-loaded applicator) and Ovestin cream. Both of these are local estrogen and it's that which will help vaginal dryness.
You will need to experiment to find the amount that works for you. Vagifem is supposed to be used 2x weekly but there are women who use it every day. Use whatever you need of it, it is a tiny local dose and doesn't get into the blood stream.
Then there are non-prescription products. I like YES OB or Olive and Bee. But really these are not going to be optimal without the local estrogen as well.
Apparently soon we are supposed to be able to get local estrogen without a prescription, over the counter. I can't wait. They said it will be for women over 50. I have visions of now faking an ID card as I'm 44. It will make me feel like I'm 16 again, faking IDs
