Speak to your union rep, don't meet with management unless you have your union rep with you ... This is why people are in unions

Totally agree, all letters inviting you to a meeting should be asking you to consult your union and arrange for the union rep to be present at the meeting. They should allow enough time for this to be arranged, think it's 15 days from the date of the letter.
