Testosterone has made such a difference to my completely disappeared sex drive, Im on Androfeme that was prescribed privately. Ive had my levels checked and its within the allowed amount.
I feel better in myself and I actually want to have sex now. Im not joking when I say I wouldn't have been bothered if I did it again and this made me sad. I love my husband and was missing the feeling of wanting to be close to him.

So... Ive been on a lower dose than prescribed for 5 months now and my body hair, Legs , armpits and facial hair are going mad. I can manage this by shaving my legs everyday. It s a pain but doable but my face!! Im mixed race so have dark hair anyway but its getting worse.

Im started to feel like I have to choose between taking the testosterone and daily hair management or stopping it and loosing my sex drive again.
Im early 40's and feel conflicted..

R there appropriate hair removal creams for your skin type?  I find tweezers useful around upper lip and chin.  I even have a thread about that  ::) [My Chin!]

Could you drop the testosterone again 2 C what reaction there is with regards sex drive?  I don't know much about testosterone  ::) U can probably tell.

I see that this is down as an uncommon side effect in the BMS information. Have you sought advice from your prescriber? Maybe Hurdity can help as she is using testosterone.

I can’t use hair removal cream. It gives me a rash.
I do use a peach fuzz removal tool in my face but my tashe and chin are getting darker thicker hairs.

I am using  about 2/3rds of the dose daily. My tube of cream is supposed to last 100 days but it’s been closer to  140.

Maybe I could reduce it further or apply it every other day and see what happens.

Hurdity doesn't read here as often, might be worth sending her a personal mail asking the question?

Although testosterone looks like the culprit there are other causes so it might be worth seeing your gp about it. Do you have other meno symptoms and are you on HRT? Reducing the dose again is a good suggestion.

Thanks Sheila.

This only started recently say in the last month I started testosterone in Oct/nov time.

I’ve been on utrogestan and oestrogen gel for 2.5 years.
2 and a bit pumps a day and 200mg of utrogestan for 14 days a month.

1 thing I have noticed is since getting my 1st Pfizer jab mid January is my night sweats are more noticeable at times.

@pinkjan4288 I see this was posted a while ago. Did you stay on it? I have just noticed hair growth on face after 3 month use and am wondering whether to go off. It's upsetting as the positive benefits were so good.

This article might help Mcg50.

Personally I think that’s quite a high dose of zinc so I stick to 15mg.

What about Veet or laser treatment? X

Hello, I’m on Androfemme too. What was your free Testosterone level after 3 months minimum of being on it? From a venous blood draw. Your side effects can happen but are uncommon, apparently. It might be you can only use it every other day? If you’re on the low dose that might be an approach to consider.
