I can relate to how you feel. I had a lump, GP was convinced it was just infection, which it was, but for two weeks i was convinced it was something far more serious.

Great news, mine was an abscess too. It returned a year later, another load of antibiotics for 12 weeks that time, they also drained some fluid from around it and no trouble since then (2012)
